What is planned for the site?

The detailed plans for The Harbour, Hillarys are being finalised, but the proposal will comprise of new residential apartments and a retail offering.
This site is ideally located right next to one of Perth’s great attractions – Hillarys Boat Harbour, offering new residents a high-quality coastal lifestyle.

How high will the development be?

The height of the development is still being considered, however, it is likely that it will be complementary to the recently approved development on Delos Way, Sorrento.  Based on the size and opportunity of the site, it is anticipated to be 3-4 storeys taller.

How many apartments are being proposed?

Plans for the site are still in development, but 85-95 apartments are anticipated. 

What type of retail activities are you expecting to include?

The retail offering are likely to include a small scale grocer, food and beverage and a few other speciality tenancies to support the local community.

How will traffic be managed?

As part of the development application package, a traffic assessment will be prepared. This will consider all vehicle and pedestrian movement to and from the site, as well as consider the surrounding movement networks and the impacts they will have on the development and visa versa. 

Can the community provide feedback on the development?

Yes. Whilst the plans for the site are still being considered and developed, Locus Property are seeking early feedback from the community to understand what the key priorities of the community are.

In addition, once a Development Application has been lodged, there will be a period of public advertising where the community can view the plans and provide comment. This process will be managed by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage as part of the Significant Development Assessment Unit process. 
We anticipate this will occur in early 2026.  

When will the development be ready?

The Development Application for the proposed development has not been submitted, however is anticipated that if approved, development will commence in late 2026 at the earliest. 
Construction timeframes will be subject to development approval and building approval.
